Welcome to our web site for Season 2009/10
MidwayRally is a friendly, thriving badminton club, which plays in the Stockport and Manchester Leagues and caters for players in South Manchester, who wish to play socially or competitively. The Club has four courts.
We play as Midway in the Stockport and District League, with teams in Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3. We play as Rally in the Manchester and District League, with one team in Division 1 and another team in Division 3. We also have a Men's team, which plays friendly matches. Our members are eligible for selection for matches in either or both leagues as they prefer.
Matches and club nights are on Tuesdays throughout the season, at St Anne's School, Glenfield Road, Heaton Chapel, Stockport, SK4 2QP. This is just off the A6 (Wellington Road North) - approximately 1 mile North of Mersey Square, Stockport between Manchester and Stockport. Click here for a map.
Although matches start at 7.00 pm prompt on two courts for one match or four courts for two matches (reducing to one/two as appropriate later), there are always two courts available for club play from 8.00 pm until 10:45 pm.
New members are always welcome. Visitors can attend up to three club nights before being asked to join. Visitor fees paid to date are deducted from the Annual Subscription on joining. Fees for joining mid season are pro rata.
All players are registered with the league, and all are covered by the club insurance policy. All games are played with league standard feather shuttles.
The Club also runs a Summer Handicap League, which has been running for over 25 years. (See the News page)
